My Films
In addition to being a film professor I am also a filmmaker. I primarily make short films that focus on protagonists attempting to deal with unusual or extraordinary circumstances:
Our current film, Europa is a stereoscopic (3D) dramatic science-fiction piece about an astronaut who encounters intelligent alien life on the moon Europa, and the reaction his meeting provokes when he returns to Earth. We recently completed the film and it has screened at the Little Rock Film Festival and the University Film and Video Association Annual Conference in Chicago. We are in the process of submitting the film to range of stereo3D, science fiction, and regular festivals. You can check out the website here. Below you'll find the trailer and an interview with me on the making of the film:
Going to Hell is a short (14 minute) dramatic horror film about three people who have barricaded themselves in their house as a zombie epidemic spreads around the world. But for Hope and Isabel, the bigger problem is inside the house. Josh may be infected, and they don’t know what to do with him
Going to Hell made its premiere the first weekend in June at the Little Rock Film Festival and the Pittsburgh Horror Film Festival. It has played at the Offshoot Film Festival, Little Rock Horror Picture Show, Wanderings Film Festival, Atlanta Horror Film Festival, Sacramento Horror Film Festival, and Hot Springs Horror Film Festival. Watch the full film below (or check out the trailer below that).
